Questions We Hear Most
Is this therapy?
No. Lingwell is not a clinical tool. It is designed to offer individuals opportunities to explore challenging feelings and experiences and to articulate them in a manner conducive to fuller and more communicable self-reflection. It can be easily integrated into settings such as therapy, counseling, rehabilitation, or medical practice where it is intended to enhance care, not replace it.
How is this different from ChatGPT or other AI apps?
Lingwell is built specifically for health, stress, and trauma. It is not trained on random internet data. It draws from research in expressive writing, narrative medicine, cognitive linguistics and trauma-informed care and is trained from conversations with veterans, survivors, frontline workers, and those already processing exposure to traumatic stress.
What do I actually get out of a session?
Lingwell is designed to engage with organic, open-ended conversation and can be concluded at any time. By selecting the summary button, individuals can access a summary generated by Lingwell that reflects the conversation and its resolution. Lingwell suggests producing summaries when it feels enough information has become established. Each pathway features unique summary design and content.
