Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Lingwell?
Lingwell is a language-based companion designed to use articulation to improve wellbeing. It is not therapy or coaching. It is a structured way to process experiences through words, helping individuals find clarity and voice and helping organizations strengthen resilience.
Who is Lingwell for?
Lingwell is for:
Individuals – anyone seeking a private outlet for stress, trauma, or everyday challenges.
Professionals – nurses, teachers, first responders, counselors, or others facing critical exposure to stress.
Students & Faculty – safe support for academic and personal stress.
Organizations – clinics, schools, and workplaces that want scalable, low-lift support for well-being.
How do people use Lingwell?
Daily practice: Spend time daily clarifying your thoughts and reframing stress.
Before appointments: Organize what you want to say before seeing a doctor, therapist, or mentor.
After hard days: Use Lingwell as a safe outlet to unload and reflect.
Between sessions: Many clinicians encourage it between sessions so therapy visits can go deeper.
Staff support: Professionals, nurses, teachers, first responders, and others use it to reduce burnout.
Schools & universities: Students and faculty use it to process stress, transitions, and academic pressures.
Organizations: Employers use it to support staff resilience and gather anonymous insight into stress patterns.
Is Lingwell replacing human care with AI?
No. Lingwell is not designed to replace people. It is designed to support them. For many, the hardest part is starting the conversation. Lingwell helps you find words so human connections can go deeper.
How is this different from ChatGPT or other AI apps?
Lingwell is not a general-purpose chatbot. It was built from research in cognitive linguistics, trauma studies, narrative medicine, and expressive writing therapy and trained with the real voices of caregivers, survivors, veterans, and frontline workers. Its safeguards and boundaries are built with attention paid to its intended use cases and assisting with facilitating more intentional language where it is needed most.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Individuals: You choose what stays private or what you share.
Organizations: Single-use codes and anonymous summaries protect user identity.
Lingwell will never sell data, run ads, or share without consent.
Does Lingwell replace therapy or medical care?
Lingwell complements care. It helps people prepare for appointments, debrief after them, reflect between sessions, or process after stressful days. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace professionals. Its unique design can be integrated into current care contexts and can be customized to better fit existing support dynamics.
How much does it cost?
Individuals: $15/month (early access rate).
Organizations: Pricing scales by size and type (pilots, clinics, universities). Contact us for details.
Do I need training to use Lingwell?
No. Just type or talk naturally. Sessions can take a little as a few minutes or can last as long as needed. Most sessions take 10-20 minutes. Summaries can be edited, saved, or shared.
How do organizations use Lingwell?

Provide staff, students, or patients with individual subscriptions.
Hand out one-time or weeklong codes for situational needs.
Run custom pathways for intake, debriefs, or recurring workflows.
