A personal conversation deserves clear boundaries.
Lingwell invites people to reflect on experiences that may be difficult to explain or share. People should understand what happens in a conversation, what they can keep or share, and what the organization providing access may see.
Your conversation is not automatically a report to someone else.
When Lingwell is offered through an organization, providing access does not by itself give the organization routine access to a conversation. Creating a summary and sharing one are separate choices.
- 1
Reflect
The person begins a guided conversation about something they want to explore.
- 2Optional
Review
If they create a summary, they can review the language and decide whether it says what they want to keep or communicate.
- 3Optional
Choose whether to share
Sharing is its own action. Once a summary is sent, the recipient has their own rules for keeping and using it.
Offering access is different from accessing private reflections.
What a person chooses to send
When a participant intentionally shares a summary, the designated recipient receives what they choose to send. The receiving organization’s handling of it may be subject to its own policies and obligations.
What reporting may include
Depending on the arrangement, Lingwell may provide aggregated information about use. What it includes, who can see it, and whether individuals could be identified should be clear to the organization and its participants before access begins.
What happens to the information you share?
These answers follow Lingwell’s Privacy Policy, which is the place to read the exact wording.
What information does Lingwell collect?
The text you enter during a session, Lingwell’s responses and summaries, session timestamps and duration, technical information such as IP address, browser, and device type, and any feedback you choose to give. Lingwell does not require personal or identifying details, and people are encouraged to leave them out.
Where is it stored?
Lingwell uses cloud infrastructure and AI processing providers to operate the service. The Privacy Policy describes safeguards that include encryption in transit and at rest, and notes that no system can guarantee absolute security. Organizations that need more detail about infrastructure and configuration can ask us directly.
How long is it kept?
Identifiable user data is kept only as long as necessary to provide the service and maintain access to prior sessions. De-identified and aggregated data may be kept for system improvement.
Can a person ask for their data to be deleted?
Yes. Users may request deletion through Lingwell’s website, and Lingwell will make commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill those requests. Questions and requests can also go to support@lingwellhealth.com.
Does Lingwell train AI models on conversations?
No identifiable personal content is used for advertising, resale, or training publicly available AI models. De-identified, aggregated information may be used to improve performance, safety, and usability.
Is personal information sold?
No. Lingwell does not sell, rent, or lease user data. It may share information with service providers that help operate the service, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Lingwell, its users, or others.
AI supports reflection. It does not make the decisions.
AI-generated language can be incomplete, mistaken, or simply not right for a particular person. A person should be able to consider what Lingwell offers, reject what does not fit, and decide what to carry forward.
A resource for reflection, not a replacement for care.
Lingwell is not a therapist, physician, or other licensed professional, and it does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency help. If someone is in danger, call 911 or 988 in the United States.
A question we haven’t answered?
