For participants
Welcome to Lingwell. You don’t need the words yet.
Lingwell is a guided conversation for finding them, and for deciding what to do with them once you do.
Lingwell is a guided conversation that helps you listen to your own language. It starts from a simple observation: how we name what happens to us shapes how we carry it. When you find words that fit, you can understand an experience more clearly, say it to someone who matters, and decide what comes next.
Why you are here
Someone made Lingwell available to you.
Organizations offer Lingwell for different reasons, and people use it for different reasons. You might be dealing with something hard right now. You might want to prepare for an important conversation or appointment. You might want a quiet place to think.
You do not need one reason, and Lingwell does not assume one for you.

Open conversation

What the experience looks like
Begin somewhere. Work with it. Leave with something.
Begin somewhere.
Start with something that happened, something you are anticipating, a question, a difficult conversation, or simply the sense that something deserves more attention.

Work with it.
Lingwell guides the conversation with questions that help you slow the experience down, notice distinctions, explore what matters, and find language that feels accurate to you.

Leave with something.
What emerges can become a concise summary you can keep, return to later, or choose to carry into another conversation.

What stays yours
You decide what to say, what to keep, and what to share.
Lingwell can ask questions, offer language, notice patterns, and help you explore an experience. It does not decide what that experience means.
You remain the authority on what fits, what does not, what you want to explore, what you want to keep, and what you want to share.
Privacy and your information
Your conversations are not an organizational dashboard.
Private
An organizational administrator cannot open and read your conversations.
Shared by you
If you want to bring something into another conversation, with a clinician, counselor, supervisor, educator, advocate, or someone else, you can intentionally share a summary. That choice belongs to you.
Managed by you
You can manage your own Lingwell information, including conversations, summaries, and stored memory. Lingwell also supports complete participant deletion on request.
Organizations may receive administrative usage information and anonymous, aggregate insights, such as broader themes. Theme-level reporting does not appear until at least 10 people are actively using Lingwell.
What Lingwell is and is not
Guided reflection, not treatment.
Lingwell is
A place for guided reflection. It can help you slow down, examine an experience, find clearer language, notice what matters, prepare for another conversation, or understand something you have been carrying.
Lingwell is not
A diagnosis engine. It does not provide medical or psychiatric treatment. It does not replace a therapist, physician, counselor, crisis professional, educator, advocate, or anyone else whose professional judgment matters. It is not an emergency service.
If you need urgent help, contact 988 or emergency services. If something you write signals serious risk, Lingwell will encourage you to do the same. It does not place that call itself, and by default it does not automatically notify an employer, school, healthcare organization, administrator, or emergency service.
Getting started
Start when you are ready.
If your organization shared a link or instructions with you, use those. Otherwise, you can begin here.
