HOW LINGWELL WORKS

A conversation that follows your experience.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear question or know exactly what you want to say. Lingwell gives you a place to begin, explore what’s on your mind, and find language for what emerges.

The experience moves at your pace. You decide where to start, what to explore, and when you’re ready to finish.

BEGIN

Start wherever you are.

Lingwell offers different starting points for different experiences. You might be navigating illness, uncertainty, grief, recovery, a difficult decision, or something you haven’t yet found a name for.

You can choose a starting point that feels relevant or begin with an open conversation. There’s no requirement to have your thoughts organized before you start.

EXPLORE

Follow what comes into focus.

As you share what’s on your mind, Lingwell responds with questions that invite you to look more closely at your experience.

A thought may lead to a memory. A feeling may become easier to distinguish. Something that seemed straightforward may reveal another side.

You can follow what feels important, reconsider something you’ve said, or move in a different direction. The conversation is an opportunity to explore, not a test with a correct answer.

A Lingwell conversation

What happens when we find the words?

The language we use shapes how we understand our experiences. When something is difficult to put into words, it can also be difficult to recognize its different parts, see how they connect, or understand why they matter.

Taking time to search for language can change that. A feeling becomes more specific. A thought takes shape. Something we hadn’t quite recognized becomes easier to see.

That’s the work Lingwell makes room for. Not simply recording what someone says, but helping them explore their experience through language, and discover what becomes clearer along the way.

REFLECT

Take something meaningful with you.

When you’re ready, Lingwell brings together important themes, thoughts, and language from your conversation in a written Summary.

A Lingwell Summary

The Summary gives you something to return to, but it can also help you communicate what you’ve discovered. You might share it with a healthcare professional, counselor, family member, or someone else you trust, or use it to prepare for a conversation in your own words.

What can be difficult to explain in the moment may become easier to communicate when you’ve had time to explore it first.

You decide what to do with your Summary, including whether to share it.

You don’t have to know where the conversation will lead.

You only need somewhere to begin.
